At Smiley's, the customer is always right, even when they aren't human. For night-shift worker Andrew, survival depends on a cryptic rulebook. But when a creature that isn't in the book appears—a silent mime that deals in real pain—Andrew must write a new rule in his own blood. He soon discovers that the monsters you can see are far less terrifying than the ones who wear a familiar face and a perfect, plastic smile.
