The Crimson Root

A cynical psychic and a skeptical detective are thrown together when young girls vanish from Florida's swamps. But they aren't the only ones hunting the predator. An ancient, floral entity has awakened, planting strange, severed seeds where the girls were taken. It smells of rain and sugar, and it considers the kidnapper a blight to be purged. Now, they must solve the case before this mythical protector's wrath consumes the guilty and the innocent alike in a torrent of supernatural vengeance.
