The Auditor of Regrets

Alex, a brilliant but apathetic student, is haunted by a dream of his 'perfect self'—a successful, wealthy, and ruthlessly efficient version of him known only as The Auditor. But when artifacts from The Auditor's perfect life begin to physically manifest in his own, replacing his reality piece by piece, Alex realizes this is no dream. He is a 'rounding error' in the cosmic calculation of his own life, and The Auditor has arrived to correct the mistake by erasing him from existence entirely.
