Echo of a Drowned God

In a desert town built on a man-made lake, people are drowning miles from water. Liam, a freshly recruited apprentice to the Reaper, is thrown into his first case. His mentor is an ancient entity who once dismantled a god to save this very land. But the killings have started again, and this time, it's not the old god they're hunting. It’s a parasitic echo, a creature born of modern fear that wears a god’s face, and it's hungrier than the original ever was.
